David Chong

Group Chairman  

Mr. David Chong is the founder and Chairman of the Portcullis Group of companies which in late 2004 acquired the TrustNet Group. The Portcullis Group and the TrustNet Group have merged to form one of the biggest independent groups of trust companies in Asia with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Samoa, Cook Islands, British Virgin Islands, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan (Malaysia), Mauritius, Seychelles and Cayman Islands.

David was a lecturer in the National University of Singapore (NUS) for 3 years. He has a Master's Degree in Law and a Master's Degree in Business. He is the Senior Partner of the law firm, David Chong & Co. He is qualified as a Barrister of England, as an Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore, Malaya, Brunei, as a Solicitor in Australia and as Barrister & Solicitor of the British Virgin Islands.

David served as the Founding President of Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) (Singapore Chapter) and was the Founding President of the Singapore Fund Administrators Association (SFAA).
