David Chong

Group Chairman  

Mr David Chong is the founder and Chairman of the Portcullis Group of companies which in late 2004 acquired the TrustNet Group. The Portcullis Group and the TrustNet Group have merged to form Asia's biggest independent groups of trust companies with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Taipei, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, Mauritius, New Zealand, Samoa and Seychelles.

David was a lecturer in the National University of Singapore (NUS) for 3 years. He has a Master's Degree in Law and a Master's Degree in Business. He is the founder of the law firm, David Chong & Co. David is qualified as a Barrister-at-Law, Lincoln's Inn, Advocate & Solicitor, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, Barrister & Solicitor, British Virgin Islands, Solicitor, NSW, Australia, Barrister & Solicitor, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, Australia and Solicitor, Queensland, Australia.

David served as the Founding President of Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) (Singapore Chapter) and was the Founding President of the Singapore Fund Administrators Association (SFAA). He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA).
